Hello folks! Happy October! If my auctions look a little screwed up over the weekend just bear with them. Those IDIOTS over at Photobucket.com where I host some of my photo's are screwing around with their site again. This offering is for a couple different anabantoids I currently have in the fish room and if you like rare, hard to find species this should be an enticing offering for you! I do NOT have ANY more of either species to offer! This is it! You will receive 3 Belontia hasselti PLUS a sexed Pair of wild caught Betta pugnax! The Belontia hasselti are a rare combtail gourami and they are quite active and interesting. You will receive a pair and one extra unsexed fish. These are bubblenest builders and have been very interesting to check out for me! The Betta pugnax are mouth brooding Betta's and they are also quite hard to find especially in pre-sexed pairs like I am offering! I am currently keeping all 5 of these fish together in a 20 gallon long with a medium amount of cover and they are all getting along just fine. If the Betta's were to spawn they would still all get along but if the Combtails spawn and are guarding eggs or fry in their bubblenest I suspect there would be trouble. Like I said both these species are rarely seen in the hobby and I think both species are well worth keeping and breeding! I can't even find a breeding article on this species of Combtail but I have had these Pugnax breed for me in the fish room more than once. Just feed them high quality MEATY foods while keeping your water quality up and your Male will have a mouthful of eggs soon enough! Give these rare anabantoids a try! They are the type of fish we only see available every 10 or 15 years and in all honesty I have NEVER had the opportunity to see or maintain these Combtails before now!
