Hello folks! Happy Friday! This offering is for a Trio of Adult Celebes Halfbeaks along with 4 Adult Corydoras metae. I took the photo's of the Halfbeaks below last night and these fish are awesome! ALL Females are pre-hit and these Celebes Halfbeaks are probably the nicest fish I currently have in the fish room. I have been pumping this group up for a couple Months and they are showing adult colors and the Males are mating with the Females regularly! Can you tell I am psyched up to offer them? The Metae Corys are also Adult size and sweet! I can and will also add a couple Ancistrus to this box. You will want bottom feeders in your tank with these Halfbeaks because Halfbeaks rarely eat any food off the bottom. They are surface feeders and will follow food down into mid water areas but if the food reaches the bottom you will want another crew down there to clean it up. I also have a new plant in the fish room. It's called Egeria najas and grows similarly to Anacharis and since NY State has made Anacharis illegal to possess it's our substitute to Anacharis now here in New York. Rachel O'Leary states it's much more adaptable and an all around better choice in most aquariums when compared to Anacharis. She doesn't say why that is but I am just going to take her word for it! I will send you a few stems of it so you can see how it does in your tanks! Lastly I will send you some surface floating plants cuz that's you are going to find your baby Halfbeaks hiding. I HIGHLY recommend checking for fry first thing in the morning as you turn your tank lights on. They will be hanging out right at the surface in any cover you provide for them there.
