Hello folks!Happy Friday! How's the BLIZZARD treating you? It's missing me by about 100 miles thank goodness! This offering is for a Breeding Pr. of NICE Thorichthys meeki, Firemouth Cichlids from Conrad Jr's fishroom along with a group of 7 Danio kyathit. Here's what Conrad had to say about these fish- This is a young Pr. and they were kept in a 55 gallon community tank. They have spawned several times over the last few months and are GOOD parents. They have NOT been aggressive towards any of the other fish in the tank but they DO keep them away from their eggs and fry. I even keep a group of smaller Danio kyathit in this tank that were not harassed or hunted down and eaten. They would most likely be aggressive towards other South American cichlids so I would avoid attempting to keep them with angels or convict sized cichlids.I fed them frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms each day along with some earthworm sticks and was doing a weekly partial water change. At 78 degrees they have been spawning every 2 weeks for me. The Female is actually filling up with eggs right now. I will also add the group of 7 red fin kyathits to this auction and they were right in the 55 with these firemouths. In addition I will give Pete a nice clump of hornwort for the auction. I was keeping live plants in with these firemouths. They have not damaged any live plants in my tanks. And here's what I have to say about these fish- If you are looking for a nice Young Pr. of South American Cichlids to enjoy and watch raise some babies give these fish a try. They are much more gentle and colorful than Convicts and anything you can keep in with Angelfish you outta be able to keep in with these Firemouths. You outta also consider breeding these Kyathit Danio's. They are REALLY nice fish especially when in full breeding color and I seldom see them available. These are a newer Danio and they are still pretty hard to find. Danio's are EASY to breed and if you want some tips on how to breed some WITHOUT spending a lot of money on a new breeding tank send me an E Mail and I'll tell you how to do it!
