Hello folks!Happy Friday! NOW is the time to start thinking about what types of fish or aquatic animals you are going to attempt to keep in your outdoor "tubs" this year! SET ONE UP if you never have had one! They are inexpensive to get going and a lot of FUN to mess with during the Summer Months! This offering is for a Pr. of Chocolate Cichlids, Hypselecara temporalis! The Male is just about 4 inches long now, the Female is about 3 inches long. These are GENTLE fish so don't even think about putting them in a tank with rough customers. I would say are as peaceful as Severums and should NOT be kept with anything more aggressive than Geophagus type Cichlids. When they get stressed out they WILL HIDE and nobody wants to keep fish that hide all the time except maybe all the folks that spend hundreds of dollars on Zebra Plecos so they can permanently live inside ceramic caves the rest of their lives. Do a few searches on these fish and take a look at what this Pr. will look like by the Fall cuz that's how long it will most likely take for them to double in size and start breeding especially if you put a little effort into feeding this Pr. some earthworms now that the ground is thawed out and we all have access to worms again. I tried getting some nice photo's of this Pr. recently but they didn't cooperate very well and the tank they are living in is getting mighty crowded. It's time to send them on their way!
