Description

Hello Folks!
Happy Thursday!
This offering is for 2 types of egglayers I have currently breeding and 1 I am about to breed!
In other words you outta have no issues getting these fish to spawn for you if that's what you want them to do!
Win this auction and I will send you 8 Young Adult breeding Celestial Pearl Danios , a Reverse Trio of Peacock gudgeons that just bred less than a week ago and 6 Badis buxar that are going to breed at anytime now.
You prolly think I am pretty bold making these sort of predictions but I can see these buxar right from where I am typing out this auction and the Females are FAT and happy and the Males are trying to trick them into entering their caves (those DEVILS) and when you get a group of fish acting this way it's only a matter of time till you see a nice clutch of eggs!
These Buxar were wild caught, the rest of these fish were born right here in the fish room.
The Danio's are accustomed to spawning over my mortar and pestle bowl and these Gudgeons WILL spawn in anything like a 1/4 inch PVC pipe although I have been getting them to spawn in a small over turned clay flower pot. Also check out the photo's of this reverse trio closely. You can easily see the humps on the foreheads of both Males. These can sometimes be tricky to sex at younger ages but these fish really matured nicely. They really aren't very old, I would guess I spawned these maybe last November or so.
Also the Gudgeons do have a couple "nips" out of their fins. This happened Months ago and is slowly healing but I do NOT think one of these Males will ever fully heal up properly. He is FINE for breeding but you won't be winning any fish shows with him. These fish were bit up by some young Fahaka Puffers I was messing with a few Months ago so let that be a lesson to you. Don't try keeping Gudgeons with Fahaka Puffers!
You can substitute a cereal type bowl with these CPD's if you like and what's nice about spawning them that way is you can pick that bowl right up and move the whole thing to an empty tank or bucket to hatch the CPD eggs which makes everything WAY easier than more conventional ways of breeding them. I added some older photo's I took a while back of how I am working with these fish, check them out below! By the way, these actual CPD's were hatched out of that bowl below and now they are spawning in it!
I also like to just remove the flower pot after I see the Gudgeons have laid their eggs in it even though the Male Peacock WILL defend the eggs if you leave it in the spawning tank. The issue is a lot of times the Male will also eat the fry OR snails will get at them at night OR they get away from him and other fish end up eating them in a community type situation. I like to help things along with fish like these UNLESS I already have a lot of fry I am raising, then you may as well see how things turn out without your assistance.
Remember, a lot of times if you just raise they fry separately for just a few weeks you can add them all back to the main tank and they will be large enough so nobody messes with them.
I could say a lot more regarding different ways of breeding these fish but I don't feel like writing a book right now and I bet you don't feel like reading one either. I think I have given you enough ideas on how you can approach messing with these egglayers.
I will also include the usual high quality foods and perhaps at least a ready to use flower pot but you will have to get your own cave for these Badis. I sent one of my last ones with last weeks buxar auction even though I said I wasn't going to do that!
Oh yea, I almost forgot! I will also send you a softball size portion of Fontinalus Moss.
I filled 4 of my outdoor tubs with this species of moss a couple weeks ago and it is doing AWESOME. You can see what it looks like in the photo below. You can also GOOGLE "Fontinalis Moss" to see what it looks like once it settles into an aquarium. It's quite nice and a lot harder to come by than Java Moss.
To sum up-
Win this auction and I will send you 8 Young Adult breeding Celestial Pearl Danios, a Reverse Trio of Peacock gudgeons that just bred less than a week ago and 6 Badis buxar that are going to breed at anytime.
You will also get a softball sized portion of Fontinalis Moss, the usual HIGH QUALITY foods plus whatever spawning gear I have handy when I pack your box!
