Hello folks! Happy Thursday! This offering is for 3 Pr's. of Young Ancistrus along with a NICE Young Pr. of Albino Pineapple Swordtails. If you are looking to breed some Ancistrus this is a GOOD AUCTION to win simply because you will end up with all the Ancistrus you will need to produce both Standard and Albino Ancistrus in both standard AND longfin forms! That's cuz you are bidding on the 3 Male standard Albino Ancistrus below PLUS 2 standard Brown Females and a longfin brown Female. You can SEE all these Ancistrus below.By the way6, I took those photo's in a large clear plastic salad bowl and I think they showed these fish off pretty nicely. I don't like photographing Ancistrus cuz they never seem to look very HOT but this worked out nicely for me. You can buy those clear plastic bowls at any Dollar Tree type store for a BUCK! Remember that the next time you are there picking up packing tape! All 6 of these Ancistrus were born either here in my fish room OR over on Conrad's old fish room. If you win this auction you will need 3 caves for these fish and I don't have any extras I can send you BUT try one of these log types from Kensfish- Breeding Log My Ancistrus ALWAYS pick these over any of the other types of caves I offer them. Other than actual holes in wood these are the best Ancistrus caves as far as I am concerned plus they look natural too. Pick up some of his catfish sticks while you are there too- Premium Catfish Sticks They are a little on the pricy side BUT they will help get these Ancistrus producing eggs for you too! I am also going to include 1 Young Pr. of my strain of Albino Pineapples Swordtails to this box. This is a beautiful strain of fish I have been working on for YEARS now and they totally blow away those imported "Lemon Swordtails" I see around every once in a while. You will receive an already pre-hit Female Albino Pineapple along with a NICE Male that way you will be assured some fry within 28 days from that Female and you won't have to worry about her changing into a Male in the future. I will also include some HIGH QUALITY foods for ALL these fish. Lastly, the photo's below ARE of the actual Ancistrus I will send you but I didn't bother taking photo's of the Pr. of Albino Pineapples but they will look just as nice as my photo's below if not NICER. I am sort of glad I didn't take new photo's of them cuz when I went over to my photo host to find some older photo's of them I found the photo's of the way I breed Albino Swordtails. ALL Albino Swordtails tend to be brutal fry eaters so one of the ways I breed them is to make nice big traps out of 2 , 3 or 5 gallon buckets. It's simple and it WORKS. Simply take a female that looks ready to drop fry and place her in a 5 gallon bucket of FRESH dechlorinated water and then loosely fill it with filter floss. Many times my females will drop fry the SAME DAY I add them to the bucket cuz all that fresh water fires them up. When they do drop the fry swim into the floss and up to the top of the bucket AWAY from the Female who will EAT THEM if she can. Try it on ANY Swordtails you may be messing with that you think are eating too many of their fry. It works like a charm and you will have LOTS of success this way.
