Hello Folks! HAPPY Thursday! This auction is for some fish Ol' Conrad and I have just started messing with! We seem to sell every single Killifish we can breed and I get a TON of E Mails for folks asking me about how long they live. The truth is up to now we have been selling Killifish that can live just about as long as Fancy Guppies do. A few Months ago at one of our weekly meetings in between goofing off we decided to try messing around with some actual annuals! We know a couple Killifish nut cases that live in the area so we asked them if we could have some of the EASIEST to breed and keep Nothobranchius cuz we liked the look of them and low and behold Ol' Conrad had some Nothobranchius guentheri swimming around in his fish room a few days later! That's what you are bidding on. In fact you are bidding on the 3 Pr's of them. I can't tell you a whole lot about this fish cuz I just don't have a lot of hands on experience with them BUT what I do have is an article I read that I found extremely useful as far as breeding these little guys go. You can check that out here- Breeding Nothos. Here is what I can tell you about these fish. They love decapped brine shrimp eggs and Microworms, they can be kept in 5 1/2 gallon tanks with no issues and they do fine in our NY harder water. And like you can see in my moving picture they are nice ACTIVE cool little fish. They remind me of intelligent Celestial Pearl Danio's. All 6 fish we will send you are very YOUNG and should be just starting to breed and once they start they don't stop, they don't stop displaying either! These fish are true annuals and ONLY live about 12 Months. The fish we are sending you are less than 3 Months old. I will also send you a generous amount of Decapped Shrimp Eggs plus a Microworm culture! I WILL include a small amount of floating plants and I even have some coconut fiber to use for egg collection but Ol' Conrad's using peat moss so I can't say for sure the coconut fiber will work. Hey Conrad? Why didn't you give me some peat moss to send with this auction? You can cut up your own margarine container to breed them in! Give these fish a try folks!
