Nano-aquarium Fish and Plants

Badis singenensis 'Buxar', Microdevario kubotai & 3 Different Plants

This auction is for four of the Badis singenensis, six of the Microdevario kubotai and the three species of plants listed below. This is a nice set or fish and plants to start a 10-gallon nano tank.

Microdevario kubotai has been around for only a couple years or so, and has been sold under the common names of neon yellow rasbora or Kubota's rasbora. Not a rasbora, but most definitely neon yellow! This nano fish rarely hits 1" and will shine like little lemon drop jewels, especially in a planted tank. Very hardy and very active. They make use of all levels of the aquarium.

The rose badis, B. singenensis 'Buxar' is a welcome new addition to the chameleon fish in the hobby. They are a small species that spawn readily inside short pieces of plastic pipe, bamboo or ceramic tube. The male guards the fry until they are free swimming, and the fry are large enough to eat microworms or baby brine. They can be aggressive towards each other, which is why four is plenty in a ten gallon tank.

One of the plants you will get will be a generous portion of teardrop rotala, Rotala rotundifolia. This is an easy to grow stem plant that thrives even in low light.

You will also get a half dozen or more Cryptocoryne lucens, a small foreground species that makes dense clumps. Plant these over a root tab or piece of laterite for best results.

I will also send three or more clumps of Anubias nana that I grow in several of my aquariums. I got my start of these plants in a wild import several years ago, and it has been a consistently small-leaved variety that grows in dense clumps.

Shipping to continental U.S. with USPS Priority Mail or SpeeDee Delivery (available in Wisconsin, most of Illinois, eastern Iowa and southeastern Minnesota) is INCLUDED in the auction price. Express Mail to continental U.S.A is an extra $20. Alaska and Hawaii may need some extra cash, but maybe not. Fish that are listed in auctions are not sold off auction until the auction transaction is complete. New customers need to pay prior to fish shipment. Established customers can pay after fish arrive (I will let you know when you have become an established customer). Payment via PayPal (my account accepts credit cards without you needing a PayPal account). Established customers can mail a check or money order.
