Hello folks! Happy Friday! This auction is for 4 Albino Paradise Fish (both sexes) and a Group of 12 Blue Swordtail Guppies along with 3 different type of floating plants because those Paradise fish, Macropodus opercularis need plants to anchor their bubble nest to. I will send you some Hornwort (the soft variety), some Giant Duckweed and some Wolffia. If you have never really considered messing around with Paradise fish they are well worth checking out. I have never spawned the Albino variety but I have bred the common Blue color variety a few times. They are much hardier than most Betta's and they can change colors in a matter of seconds which I always found to be interesting. They also don't really need warm water to thrive. What I like best about them is watching them breed and take care of their eggs and fry and THATS why I am going you all those Blue Swordtail Guppies! If you put ALL of those Guppies in a tank with these Paradise fish they will help to keep your breeding Males guarding their nests and fry INSTEAD of killing other fish in the tank. It takes time to beat other fish to death and they can't stay away from their nest and fry long enough to really harm other fish when there are several fish like those Swordtail Guppies in a tank while they are breeding. What they will do is display a lot and threaten any fish that comes to close to their nest or fry but that's all they can do because if they leave their nest to pursue any one fish all the other fish will move in and eat their eggs while the Male is gone, and he knows that! What's it all mean? It means add ALL the fish and plants I send you to your Paradise fish breeding tank so things go smoothly and you don't end up having your Male kill his females or other tank mates when breeding. One last thing I forgot to mention is Paradise fish are also jumpers so make sure you keep their tank covered at all times. I learned that lesson the hard way a couple different times. I don't really feel like writing a book on these fish tonight so if you have any other questions regarding these fish just about everything that applies to breeding Betta splendens also applies to Paradise fish including using a glass or a cup to snag the entire bubble nest with so you can move all the fry to another tank and raise the fry yourself.
