Description

Hello folks!
Man this day shot by quickly. Every time I walked down into the fish room I kept getting "occupied" down there and it's hard to post auctions when I am screwing around in the fish room.
I did find the time to download this tune "Cotton Eyed Joe" I have been wanting to use in an auction lately today though so it wasn't a complete waste. Ain't you glad I know how to budget my time wisely?
This auction is for some MORE of those Checkerboard cichlids and they certainly are the hard fish to find BUT you won't find ANY better Furcata rainbows than the group I am breeding either.
I got all these rainbows from a local breeder and they are really making the rounds cuz now I am going to sell some in this auction. I ALSO still have some Longfin Cherry Barbs left and those are just now hitting breeding age too.
I am going to offer you some of ALL this stuff in this auction.
These fish would all be cool to breed and also cool just to add to any community tank full of docile FRIENDLY fish. I also took a short moving picture of those Furcata's in the breeding set up I have them in. Notice I have NO GRAVEL in that tanks and just a lot of mops all over the place? That's because I am feeding them a lot of mix #2, live white worms and even just straight decapped brine shrimp eggs and if I had gravel in that tank a certain amount of ALL that food would get down into it. That would increase the chances my eggs start fungusing in those mops and could lead to water quality issues. I know tanks with no gravel don't always look the greatest but fungused eggs and cloudy water doesn't look all that great either. I would estimate I currently have between 150 and 200 eggs in those mops now so if I wanted to raise all of them this would be the time to either pull all the mops OR remove all the breeders. I am not ready to start raising those fry yet so I am just going to let those mops KEEP filling up with eggs.
OK enough chit chat I am just trying to be as annoying as this tune hopefully is to you, here's exactly what you are bidding on.
6 Checkerboard cichlids, 8 Furcata rainbows and 8 Longfin Cherry barbs.
I WILL do my best to get you both sexes of everything and that doesn't mean 7 Male Furcata rainbows and 1 Male, it just means if you get 60/40 of something I don't want to hear a bunch of crying about it later. I do the best I can sex wise when packing these boxes.
Since I spent a little time talking about breeding those Furcata's and since they are laying eggs like mad right now I WILL send you one of the mops from in their tank too.
It will be in a plastic bag and damp and the eggs in it outta be fine for hatching. I recently sent one of my Killie auction winners a mop I had sitting around this way for at least a Month and the woman said she had fish hatching out of it the same day she stuck it in water!
I will also send you some HIGH QUALITY foods PLUS some Micro worms with this box that way when you E Mail me frantically trying to find out what to feed Furcata fry I can tell you to relax and just use some of the Micro worms I sent you to feed them with.
I am pretty good at anticipating problems concerning this hobby ain't I? Probably because I have encountered them all at least once.
I also know for a FACT, I will send you a couple Pr's of Guppies with this auction. While I am catching these Furcata's I will be literally bumping my head on one of my Super Cross Guppy tanks FULL of young Pr's so I'll catch you a couple of those too.
If YOU are interested in any of these Checkerboard cichlids this IS the time to go for them. I actually checked into getting some more of these awesome little cichlids last week and I got a thumbs down from the supplier so when these are gone they will really be gone. Actually that applies to all this stuff so don't say I didn't warn you.
Don't miss out folks get this stuff while it's HOT!

These fish below are the original parents.
