Hello folks! This auction is for some Mbunas that at first glance you would think are VERY non community tank type fish. These guys (and girls) are called Pseudotropheus acei and they are Lake Malawi mouth brooder. Most folks would list these up in the Mbuna section here at Aquabid but I ain't most folks and I happen to know that a group of THESE fish will do just fine in any larger community tank type setting. In fact they will thrive in that type of setting because they won't have a bunch of more aggressive Mbuna chasing them all over the place. I HAVE seen these fish kept with fish as small as NEON TETRAS in the past. Yes I am being perfectly serious here. Anyway, I have always liked these fish mostly because when I owned the old fish building I made a lot of cash on them because whenever community tank folks would ask if they could put any Lake Malawi Africans in their community tank the first question I would ask them is what size community tank was it and if they said it was 30 gallons or larger I was bagging up a few of these guys a few minutes later. These guys like eating any sort of veggie based diet and if you keep their water quality good and do a decent amount of water changes they WILL breed for you. They breed on the fly and don't get obnoxious while doing it and your females will swim around with their eggs and then their fry in their mouths and you may actually end up worrying about your large Gouramis eating your Acei fry one day in the future. For those of you who know about these awesome community orientated Rift Lake cichlids sorry if I bored you. I am auctioning off 5 of these, they are all somewhere in between 2 and about 3 1/3 inches and they will be taken directly from the tank you can see in my photo's and moving picture below. I WILL pick you out a couple of the largest fish and then 3 of the smaller ones because that will give you a good shot at getting both sexes (these are sort of hard to sex) and I will also send you a couple tablespoons of Veggie sticks too cuz that's what I am currently feeding them here and they eat them very well. I am going to have to use a larger box to ship all 5 of these fish so I will most likely end up adding a couple livebearers to the box before I tape it up.
