Description

Hey Folks, This is Karen, AKA The Saint, I am the web master for www.lotsoffish.net. I think that is sooo cool to be able to claim that. LOL For years, I thot webmasters were total computer geeks and I envied them. LOL Well, I sure tain't a geek. If I can do it, so can you. Create a web site that is!

I have a very few young extremely Dark (Black and White) Marble Angelfish that I am listing in this auction. They are so AWESOME with nice nice coloring in their NICE fins and tails. The pictures you will see of them below is the actually fish you will get. Right now I have just 3 I will be listing. By the end of the auction I am hoping there will be one more I can send you to make it a total of 4. But, no guarantees there. I had a extremely small hatching of these angels. The parents had a couple choices for placing their eggs but the goofs, for some reason chose the tank heater. The heat directly on the eggs seemed to have killed most of the eggs before, I got the heater unplugged and placed to manually hatch with Methylene Blue.

A beautiful addition to this auction is 6 young unsexed Black Spotted Blue Platys, whose original parents came straight from The Platy Guy to Ol'Lotsoffish's photo studio, LOL, then boxed and shipped straight to me. (ARE YOU GETTING THE BLACK AND BLUE THEME? You will notice in their group photo that there are some who are showing a tinge of green, so you might get lucky and also get some Black Spotted Green Platys. This line of The Platy Guy carries both the blue and green. I, on occasion have seen, some throw backs of Black Spotted Orange but, I am pulling those out and putting those beauties in their own tank as I want to really concentrate on blues and greens. In fact, if you monitor the fry produced and you establish three different Platy breeding tanks, you will possibly end up with three consistent absolutely gorgeous color morphs!. WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY!

NOW for some young fish that have been a ton of enjoyment for me! I am offering an interesting color morph that are about an inch and 1/2 long and are eating me out of house and home. LOL You will receive 5 youngsters. 5 Black and White Ancistrus. They are het for Brown offspring, albino offspring and red marbles. I do not know the percentages for each color morph nor can I guarantee if you breed them you will get all 4 colors.
Now for a quick lesson in genetics. The parents of my voracious Ancistus young are nice nice Browns from who else, yep Ol'Lotsoffish. I was quite surprised to see, as the fry matured, the four different color morphs.
So --- the lesson.
When an animal is listed as a certain percent *heterozygous AKA "het" it means simply that the animal has that percent chance of carrying that gene - for instance a 100% albino het would mean the animal would have a 100% chance of carrying the gene for producing albino fry, the lower the percent, the lower the chance of the animal carrying the gene.

Once an animal has produced the color in question it automatically becomes a 100% het as it has proven out. Two 100% hets = a 50%-66% het baby, if you breed an actual colored animal with any animal that doesn't carry the gene at all) their babies are automatically 100% hets of that parent.

*Heterozygous refers to having inherited different forms of a particular gene from each parent. A heterozygous genotype stands in contrast to a homozygous genotype, where an individual inherits identical forms of a particular gene from each parent.

Now is your chance to have fun and breed these fish as they mature to see what combinations of colors will give you the highest percentage of each color morph. Be sure and keep records, then you will be able to give the percentage each of your offspring will be het to.

For those wanting a few more nice community fish, this is the auction for you!!!! Of course you know what not to place the Platys with, Don't you? If not -- ask.

These will blow the smoke out of your pipe !!

To wrap it all up I will ship to you with a 100% guarantee and free shipping; 3 young quarter sized Marble (mostly black) Striking Angelfish. 6 non sexed young Black Spotted Blue Neon Platys. AND 5, 1 inch to inch and a half Black and White Ancistrus kids. If my math is correct that is 15 NICE fish.

PLUS get this, for your fish, I will send some Lotsoffish Mix #2 to get them off to a great start in your tanks.

First the Dark Marble Angels. These are the actual young fish you will receive.

Now for the Black Spotted Blue Platys. If you compare the adult Blue Platys in the video of my nice Platy tank, you will observe the fish develop more color as they mature, selling them so young does not really show their best colors. I will keep an eye on the young in the tank and if some start developing better color, with your permission I will substitute those for the ones in the pictures. :)

Now for the actual young Platys you will receive.

This is the tank your Blue Platys came out of.

And at last, the Ancistrus. I did not get awesome photos of these youngsters, so what you will see here will be a hint.

OH for your amazement, if you have not seen them, these are the Ancistrus when they were still wigglers.

Folks, I don't mess around. I sell nice stuff. I start all these auctions at a dollar and I offer free shipping and an unconditional guarantee. You can trust me.

I ship 3 days a week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and never on Saturday, cause the PO picks up mail so late that boxes would sit until Monday to go out. I can usually ship the next available shipping day after you part with your dough, and as always, I don't mess around. Yeah Yeah you have heard this before but it is the truth!
Hey, how many have this version of "Viva Las Vegas made famous by The Pelvis? This version is from one of my very fav movies, "the Big Lebowski". An interestng worthless bit of trivia about the movie is the "F" bomb is dropped so many times, I had to google to learn how many times it was used. Around 256! The funny thing is that towards the end of the flick, The Dude is asked why he curses so much. the response was priceless - "What the "F" you talking about?" LOL
