Description

OK Folks, listen up cuz I want you to bid on this auction and I am going to give you the run down on next weeks shipping in this auction.
First of all, this auction is for 7 "The Aquarium" Magazines from 1946-1947.
That's right after we got done fighting WW2 and well over 50 years ago.
These magazines were published and edited by William T. Innes. William T. Innes was and still is, in my opinion, the GREATEST Hobbyist to ever live so far.
This was an amazing time for our hobby and MANY, MANY new fish were being discovered on almost a DAILY basis and hobbyists were keeping their fish with the most primitive equipment you can imagine. New fish and new products were arriving on the scene almost every day and the folks that were keeping fish were ALL hand core hobbyists just like we were.
You will get to read about what folks had to say when the FIRST Blue Rams and Neon Tetra's arrived into the USA and all kinds of interesting stuff like that was happening and that is just one of the things that make theses magazines so interesting. In all honestly I have owned and read all these magazines in the past but Ol' Conrad gave me 21 of them early last week and I have once again read through EVERY single PAGE of them enjoying ALL the articles and scouring all the vintage advertisements for fish, plants, and equipment they were using to keep those fish alive and breed them right after WW2 ended and folks had a little time to spend on some hobbies for a change.
If YOU have a keen interest in the hobby and YOU would like to see how things were done back then AND you want to read articles written by hobbyist's during this period of time THESE MAGAZINES are for you.
These magazines are also in pretty good shape for their age and do NOT fall apart or smell real musty like an old basement or something like that. They are truly collectors items and I would like to see somebody get them that will truly enjoy them and either take good care of them or even pass them along to somebody else when you are done reading all of them.
AGAIN, if you are fascinated with all aspects of the hobby you WILL be fascinated by these magazines.
This auction is for 7 of them. You WILL receive Jan,June, November, December of 1946 along with March, May and August of 1947.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to read about all this stuff and actually see the first actual photographs that were taken of many of these fish by hobbyists just like us back then.
NOW, as far as shipping goes around the Thanksgiving Holiday- NO SHIPPING Monday and Tuesday then I WILL be shipping the Weds BEFORE Thanksgiving and then The Saturday AFTER Thanksgiving. After that everything returns to normal again.
I will be running a lot of ONE TIME auctions this week and I have some tanks full of AWESOME STUFF I want to CLEAR OUT so keep an eye out for some HOT DEALS on some fish I do NOT run regularly.
Lastly, I am going to ship these magazines in a FLAT RATE box and I WILL add a Lotsoffish #2 food sample and perhaps something else like a Micro worm culture OR some other sorts of goodies to these boxes but NO LIVE FISH.
Happy Thanksgiving folks and have a GREAT Holiday!

Folks, I don't mess around. I sell nice stuff. I start all these auctions at a dollar and I offer free shipping and an unconditional guarantee. Trust ol' Lotsoffish.

I ship 3-4 days a week. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and I WILL be shipping Saturday November 26th too! I can usually ship the next available shipping day after you cough up the loot, and as always, I don't mess around.
