Hello Folks! This auction is for a Mated Pr. of Crayfish. I have no idea what type of Crayfish these are and the guy I got them from won't answer my E Mails cuz he owes me another species of Crayfish he was supposed to have sent me well over 6 weeks ago so he avoiding talking to me for the time being. Pretty damn LAME ain't it? Anyway, when he sent these to me he actually sent 2 Pr's and I sent one Pr. off to another crayfish enthusiast to try to get a positive ID on them but he's stumped too. I also sent some of their babies to Lexinverts, who's a hobbyist friend of mine here at AquaBid, so perhaps if he reads this auction he will get back to me on any identification he may now have for this species of Crayfish. Here's what I can tell you about these guys (and girls). They seem easy to breed, they are very docile for a crayfish and either don't care to eat fish or they just can't catch them. They also change colors fairly drastically when they molt. Right now they look like the Crayfish in the top 3 photo's below and the Male is about 6 inches long with his pincher's extended like you can see in the second photo below. They eat agressivily but seem to prefer veggie based foods. The female is a very good parent and even when I put her in a floating breeding trap she still didn't mess with a big batch of babies when they finally left the protection of her tail and I had her and about 75 baby Crayfish all jammed in a small 6 inch breeding trap for about a week before I finally removed her from it. Lastly, if you look carefully at the bottom photo's where she is holding all her hatched babies under her tail you will see a bunch of weird looking tubercles attached to her head area. Those are ALL gone now because when she molted she left them behind but I came to find out (through Lexinverts) those were all eggs from an insect that lays them on the carapaces of crayfishes and it is actually highly likely that they are the egg cases of branchiobdellida annelids that occur pretty much exclusively on crayfishes. Don't know what branchiobdellida annelids are? I didn't either. Google it and find out like I did! I will send you both these awesome Crayfish, some very "Veggie" foods for them, a handful of floating plants, and a bag of Oak leaves to add to their tank too! If Lexinverts (or anyone else for that matter) reads this auction and gets back to me with a positive ID I will add that to the bottom of this auction before it closes next Weds too. This auction WILL include a handful of HEALTHY floating plants. Folks, I don't mess around. I sell nice stuff.
