Description

ORYZIAS WOWORAE, YELLOW SHRIMP, POSO ORANGE RABBIT SNAILS, FREE SHIPPING, NO RESERVE!

Hello folks:

I just got back from an awesome two-week summer vacation, and was greeted by a whole bunch of tanks teeming with shrimp, snails, and fish... Since my wallet is empty and my tanks are full, I think I'd better get a few auctions up. This is a COOL package for a WARM tank. Bid it up, people!

In this Auction:

Oryzias woworae

Oryzias woworae

Poso Orange Rabbit Snail

Yellow shrimp
Up for bidding are the following awesome and HARDY pieces of livestock:
  • 8 F1 juvie Oryzias woworae (1/2 inch)
  • 5 F1 juvie Poso Orange Rabbit Snails (1/4 to 1/2 inch)
  • 8 juvie Yellow shrimp (approximately 1/2 inch)
  • extra stuff, of course...don't forget that this is a Lexinverts auction!!!
This is an awesome package for a hobbyist in a warmer climate in the summer. Anybody out there in Miami or Phoenix having a hard time keeping your tanks below 80F this summer? Well then, have I got a package of stuff for you!

The first thing I'm going to put in this box is a group of juvie "Daisy's Ricefish," Oryzias woworae. These are a red-hot fish that was jut discovered in Sulawesi a few years ago and was just given a name in 2010. Follow the link below for some more information about the discovery of these fish. These fish are a load of fun to keep! They are active, easy to breed, and very attractive fish. Like other rice fish, they have amazing piercing blue eyes that will catch your attention from the other side of the fish room. Unlike other ricefish species, they also have an attractive ice blue coloration on the rest of their bodies with red highlights. These fish are lookers. You will get 8 approximately 1/2 inch F1 juvies (some may be slightly bigger or slightly smaller). These guys love Lotoffish mix #2 food and absolutely thrive at 80-85 F and 7-7.8 pH.

Breeding Daisy's Ricefish is as easy as falling off a bike (And I'm pretty clumsy!). I don't even bother with mops. I have a small tank for the fry and a larger tank for the adults. I have lots of floating Hornwort in the tank with the adults and they attach their eggs to it. Then every day around mid-morning (fortunately, my tank is in my office at work!), I take a close look near the surface of the tank. Almost every day, I find 3-5 tiny, newly hatched fry. I carefully scoop them out of the tank with a net and gently drop them in the small fry-rearing tank. EASY AS PIE!

The next thing in your box will be five 1/4 to 1/2 inch beautiful juvie Poso Orange Rabbit snails. For those of you that are not familiar with rabbit snails, they come from the warm-water, high pH great lakes of Sulawesi, are stunningly beautiful, and extremely active snails. When we first got them they immediately became THE first thing we pointed out in our tanks to visitors. They are livebearers and only produce 1 baby per month, so they won't overpopulate your tank. They will eat plants like Amazon Swords, Anubias, etc., but they go VERY well with floating plants, mosses, and Marimo balls. (Check out the picture at the bottom of the page of our tank with Rabbit Snails and Shrimp to see how green a 'rabbit-snail-tank' can be with moss and floaters!)

Feed the snails raw carrots (they love carrots and they won't pollute your water!), Ken's Veggie Sticks with Calcium, Frozen Brine Shrimp, and Indian Almond leaves. Under these conditions your rabbit snails will grow into 3-4-inch-long MONSTERS and the shrimp will breed like crazy.

The last thing we're going to put in this box is 8 juvie Yellow shrimp. These guys are a yellow variant of Neocaridina heteropoda, are beautiful, prolific breeders, and very hardy. You will love these shrimp!

We're going to stuff all of this into a box and ship it to you for FREE with a LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE. (No guarantee for any extras included in the box.) We ship via Priority Mail in a Styrofoam-lined box with Kordon breather bags. Heat packs are no extra charge. We offer a NO RISK LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE. By no risk, we mean that if your animals arrive DOA, whether it's our fault or the fault of the USPS, we will re-ship them at NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU. How many sellers on Aquabid offer that kind of guarantee? Just email us a digital picture of the dead fish in the unopened bag within 2 hrs of the first delivery attempt. We ship to the continental USA only.
