WHO uses hardwood leaves and WHY???? WHO actually uses hardwood leaves in their tanks?? Lotsoffish, Twistedfisher, Andy at Lexinverts and ME...AND all the top German Breeders who have been using them for years...WHY?? They contain natural astringents that help to keep your fish healthy..they provide nice cover while they are floating..after a couple of days lovely infusoria hatches out which fish and especially fry absolutely LOVE..fry can live off this stuff for weeks! Do you think in the wild that the fish fairies go to the breeding rivers, ponds, streams and lakes and drop in decapped shrimp and finely ground dried egg powders?? NOT!..after they sink to the bottom they also make excellent places for bottom breeding fish to do their thing..egg laying fish choose them over other things to lay eggs on..they make great bottom cover for fry..and if you have a planted tank..when they finally do decompose they make wonderful natural compost for your plants to thrive on... I thought Ole Lotsoffish was a little nutty when he started sending me hardwood leaves with his auctions...then I tried them in a couple tanks...yep Ole Boy might be nuttier than a fruitcake (according to what HE says about himself, lol) BUT he knows his FISH and BREEDING FISH and I KNOW he has forgotten more about fish that I will EVER learn...and the fish in the tanks I tried seemed to breed faster and have larger drops..I'm not saying that hardwood leaves are the miracle cure all for everything in your tank Folks..I just think the more natural things we put in our tanks the better it is for the overall health of the tank and the fish..The leaves you will be getting in this auction come from around the lake in the pic below or out of my front yard right across from the lake below...they will be mostly magnolia and maple...all natural, pesticide free..just the way mother nature dropped them..PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A HUGE BOX..IT IS 6 INCHES BY 6 INCHES BY 6 INCHES...But I can still cram a whole mess of leaves in there..and a couple other treats too...GO AHEAD..GIVE IT A TRY..YOUR FISH WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT!..and did I mention the FREE SHIPPING??
