Midnight Mystic Blues Ya know, occassionally we all make a "goof". Well these were a GOOF, about 4-5 generations ago... I saved a few, and tossed them in with my wild swordtails, to be dithers , and keep them settled down, and let em grow up and see what the GOOF was going to turn into.... Well I think they are really neat, differant, and pretty darn cool for an OOPS... and my swordtail tank is getting overrun with these guys... so I need to clear a few out The majority of what these turn out like are pictured below;They are breeding about 75% true. The body is a deep midnight blue... almost black but not quite. The finnage as you see is almost tie dyed... But I LOVE it... hope someone else does also!!! Females are similar, but not as colorful of course. Now occassionally there will be a few gold bodied fry... now these ones, I've been culling or giving away. Occassionally you'll also see a male that gets just the blue and white pattern, without the other colors, but is still very similar type pattern. Now I said I was casually playing with these...and I do mean casually... And got em to be about 75% true... so I think If someone was diligent... they could get these up closer to 100%, but to me, they are pretty dither guppies with really cool looking finnage in my swordtail tank.Anyone want an almost there project???
