AND I FOUND OUT WHY...CHOYA/CHOLLA WOOD IS NOT ACUTALLY WOOD AT ALL...IT IS THE SUN DRIED BRANCHES AND PIECES OF THE CHOYA/CHOLLA CACTUS PLANT...A VEGETABLE MATERIAL...Think super sun dried..super hard veggied material that doesn't reconstitute in water...They actually feed the undried pieces to cattle and hogs...it contains beneficial starches...vitamin C..and VEGETABLE FIBER...Think super sun dried...super hard tomatoe...only this stuff doesn't reconstitute itself in water...It stays hard and WOOD LIKE...yet it still has veggie fiber...THAT'S WHY ALL THE SHRIMP, SNAILS, FISH, ANCISTRUS, AND PLECOS ARE NUTS OVER IT...AND IT'S NATURALLY GOOD FOR THEM!!...
