| ASSASSIN SNAILS AND A HAPPY LITTLE X-TRA GOODY OR TWO OR THREE..LOL | |  | | Check out these ASSASSIN SNAILS...I got my original group from Lotsoffish...so your KNOW they were healthy, hardy, happy little campers who have been breeding away...and now I have extras...SO..UP FOR BID: 10 PLUS a couple extras varying Med to Large sized (and more than a few wee ones) Assassin snails (Antentome helena) These Assassin snails are the fastest little suckers I've ever seen move...I don't think anybody ever explained to them what..."at a snail's pace" means...LOL and they LOVE Earthworm sticks...that's what they're chowing down on in the pic and what they thrive and breed on when I don't have an overabundance of PS or MTS snails to toss a scoopful into their tank...IT IS A MYTH THAT THEY WILL KILL OFF ALL THE SNAILS IN AN INFESTED TANK IN A DAY OR SO! They only eat one snail per day on average but they will take down a snail 1 1/2 x their size with no problem at all...I like snails of all kinds...but I don't like infestations and I don't like nasty poisons or chemicals so these beautiful little boogers are the perfect solution! I keep them in 2 tanks only and when I get an overabundance in any of my other multiple tanks..I haul a net full out and divide them up between the Assassin's snails tanks and just let nature take it's course...What I know about these snails is: They were first described in 1847...but were very rare in the aquarium trade until 2007...they are found in the Sulawesi region of Indonesia in ponds, rivers, streams, pools, and lakes...They are A VERY HARDY, PRETTY, AND USEFUL SNAIL TO HAVE AROUND JUST IN CASE YOU START TO BECOME OVER RUN WITH "The Other Guys"...Also tossing in some Choya/Cholla wood...some Earthworm Sticks...AND...A SURPRISE...Auction Winner is going to get a very nice pair of something cool...haven't decided as to exactly what it will be...might be a pair of gorgeous Yellow Jacket Endlers..or a fancy guppy pair..or something really cool and off the wall..but whatever it is..it will be nice...AND...it's a FREEBIE!!
