Description

ORYZIAS WORWORAE - This new species of ricefish has been described very recently and has thus far been quite hard to get a hold of! I want to share my good fortune with you by being able to give you the opportunity to obtain this species of rice fish from me. These fish were collected on Muna island and my breeders ARE GENUINE F0 GENERATION FISH! I obtained my breeding stock from Lotsoffish (Pete Mang) right here on AquaBid and the picture below is borrowed from him and are of the fish I have. They spawn prolifically when kept at 82-84 degrees and will readily lay their eggs in a mop as mine have. Of the numerous eggs I have picked from my mops so far since I got these fish, I have gotten an impressive 100% FERTILITY RATE AND 100% HATCH RATE...NO JOKE ON THIS ONE FOLKS! In all my experience so far keeping/breeding fish, I've NEVER observed this phenomenal level of fertility and viability! The fry are strong from the start and have demonstrated a rapid growth rate. The female carries around her eggs until they are fertilized and then deposits them either on plants or in a mop. THIS AUCTION IS FOR AT LEAST 20 HAND-PICKED EGGS FROM THIS NEWLY DESCRIBED SPECIES OF RICEFISH (NOT FISH). I choose to hand pick my eggs from the mop and hold on to them for a day or so before shipping them. I discard any eggs that demonstrate any weakness or questionable appearance and use methylene blue to identify and remove any infertile eggs immediately after picking them. I SHIP YOU WHAT I WOULD WANT TO RECEIVE! I will also include eggs from another ricefish species, Oryzias melastigma, at no cost to you! The number of eggs I send you of this species is dependent upon availability of eggs at the time of shipping but thus far, I've been able to send 30+ eggs with each shipment. My Oryzias melastigma eggs are extremely fertile and have demonstrated a near zero foul rate also! PAYMENT: Payment is strictly via PayPal only for this auction in order to facilitate quick delivery of the eggs before hatching occurs. Payment should be posted within 36 hours of auction close! SHIPPING: I ship in a generous 1" thick 'tightly' lined styro box that is very well padded and eggs will be given fresh water for the trip and will travel in a Kordon breather bag just in case any eggs should hatch in transit. A 72-hour heat pack will be included at no charge.
