Hello folks! This auction is for a very hard to get little Dario I happened to have stumbled upon while trying to find something else for one of my hobbyists friends. I wasn't able to get her the actual fish she wanted but it also wasn't a total waste of my time either. And that's the way we all outta think. I figure if you are looking around for some hard to find Badis or Dario and you can't find exactly what you are looking for at the time so what? Try something else then and hope in the future you stumble across what you started looking for. Anyway, that is how I managed to pick these cool little Dario sp. "Jaintia Hill" up. These fish WERE wild caught in North Eastern India and they actually arrived to me in pretty good shape. What that really means is who ever collected these fish sold them quickly because I know for a fact these are NEVER fed any food they will actually consume after they are collected until a guy like me finally ends up buying them. That's cuz these will not eat cheap flake fish food and that's all these fish are usually offered IF ANYTHING is offered at all. I could jump up on a soap box and complain about that but what's the point? All it would do is get ME all riled up and I don't need that today. These fish ARE aggressively eating my "Lotsoffish #2 fish food along with live white worms. I am feeding them a lot of white worms cuz I want to try to breed these before I end up selling them all. It's sort of a race against time, you could say, cuz I am not going to maintain this species long term in the fish room. I would like to but I just don't have enough tank space. Anyway, you are bidding on 5 of them and you WILL get both sexes AND the photo's below are some of the actual fish you will receive. I am ALSO going to send you something else REALLY COOL in this box. I am going to send you a BREEDING GROUP of 9 Corydoras pygmaeus. This group just started breeding Weds. night and I figured they would cuz I have been REALLY pushing them to spawn the past few weeks. When I saw then starting to breed I grabbed my camera to try to film a little bit of them breeding but as luck would have it my battery went dead after I shot about 40 seconds of video. I hate when crap like that happens BUT you can at least observe a little bit of breeding behavior in the SHORT video below. Those are a couple of the actual fish I will be sending also. I am ALSO going to send you a coconut shell cave AND a flowerpot cave because I THINK these Dario's breed in caves BUT they also may breed in plants like Scarlet badis tend to do so my suggestion to you would be to add a little wadded up green yarn to the tank AND put a little bit in the cave and the inverted flower pot. It can't hurt and it will definitely increase our chances of seeing some fry plus if you keep this group of spawning cory's in this tank they will also lay eggs in that green yarn. You could also substitute java moss for the yarn but I ain't sending you any of that cuz someone made me an offer on a big ol' wad of it I had growing that I couldn't refuse so I am low on java moss as usual. One other thing and then I am going to wrap this thing up, I have a TON of fry down in my fish room so I know that when I actually pack this box I will at least include one other species of something that I am not telling you about right now. Whatever it is I chose I will make sure can live peacefully in the same tank with all this stuff. So let's sum this up. You will receive 5 Dario sp. "Jaintia Hill", a spawning group of 9 Corydoras pygmaeus, some other smaller fry I haven't decided on yet, a coconut cave, a small flower pot, a bunch of food all this stuff will eat aggressively, some leaves (almost forgot about those), and what ever the hell else I decide to toss in to this box!
