Guppy Grass, Najas guadalupensis You are bidding on ALL the guppy grass stuffed into the right side in this divided 20F long.

This is the same amount I offered in the huge auctions for guppy grass I was doing last summer, about SIX big handfuls. One handful overflows a 2 cup Pyrex even after it's been wiggled and jiggled to get as much in as possible. This is enough to start 5 or 6 ten gallon tanks or closer to 10 five gallon tanks. If you want to put it all in one tank, plan on turning it a couple of times a week. It's too dense for light to get through more than a six inches or so.
This has become my #1 fry cover plant, replacing my longstanding favorite, Tropical Hornwort (Ceratophyllum submersum). Najas don't tangle as badly or shed as much and growth can be at least as fast. These floaters that don't sit on top of the surface do not block gas exchange between the air and water, don't get sucked into filters and don't get in the way when you are trying to feed the fish. Guppy grass will also root easily if you want.
Over the past summer I tried some nitrogen free fertilizer combos that gave the plants what they needed go grow fast and use the nitrates which came from the fish waste. Everyone has seen certain plants being touted as 'nitrate sponges' but the mere presence of the plants does nothing. They have to GROW to use up those nitrates! And if certain other nutrients missing, the plants will simply sit there with little or no growth.
I am going to include my custom fertilizer mix which works great for this plant. It's how I have grown (and sold) literally bushels of this stuff without even trying. It is NOT Miracle Grow or any other repackaged product meant for terrestrial plants. It's a lot more comprehensive than Leaf Zone and infinitely cheaper than the SeaChem line. Completely safe for fish and inverts. I can add nitrates if you want but the basic mix is nitrate free since the whole idea is to keep nitrates in the tank as low as possible. Even with 8 - 10 hours daily of basic lighting (low light) you should have significant growth and cleaner water. Good for other plants too but only moderate levels of iron.
If you don't need this huge amount of guppy grass I can also supply individual large handfuls for $8 each plus shipping. Include zipcode with your inquiry.
Term details are on my Just Me page. Please read it before bidding. A copy of these terms is also included in this auction as commented out text and can be viewed by looking at the page source.
Payment is by PayPal only, no e-checks.
When paying with PayPal, you must include the address you wish the package sent to.
Priority Mail is $15 which includes a nice styro liner (extruded polystyrene) for the big 12"x12"x8" box and a heatpack (72hr, 60hr or 40hr as needed).
The longest lasting heatpack is 72 hours so you will have a 3 day LAG. If it's silly-cold I will delay shipment.
Some of my other auctions may be combined with this for savings on shipping costs.
Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
