Description

Hello Folks!
This auction is going to come to you in one of my "Big Boxes" and it's going to full of all kinds of crap that you are going to find useful while you are screwing around with the fish you will receive in this box. I am not even going to tell you everything I am going to put in this box cuz I am behind and I just don't feel like typing it all out but I figure whoever wins it will be one of my customers that knows when I say it's gonna be full of a lot of "stuff" I am not kidding.
To be honest with you folks, I NEED to hire someone to help me with all this bull crap I do every week cuz believe me I do a lot of it. But that's a story for another day, and let's get right down to brass tacks regarding this box.
Here is some of the crap you are going to get.
4 Young but already breeding Peacock Gudgeon's, Tateurndina Ocellicauda.
You WILL get both sexes AND you should plan on these laying eggs with in a week or so of getting the box.
1 NICE Mated Pr. of Blue rams from my buddy in Florida.
This Pr. actually spawned AND protected about 80 fry in a tank full of Rice fish that were also breeding at the time. They are a nice compatible Pr. that both work well together herding and guarding their fry. You should expect to get a spawn from this Pr. with in about a week of receiving them also.
Next I am going to send you a very NICE copy of "Encyclopedia Of Tropical Fish With Special Emphasis on Techniques of Breeding."
If you are old like me I am sure you have a copy of this old hard cover book laying around your home somewhere. I know I always do and my copy is so worn out it's falling apart. This is a newer copy I picked up at a fish auction this Fall and it is AN AMAZING BOOK with awesome breeding information in it. It was first released in 1958 and it is worth it's weight in gold to anyone who wants a book that will tell you how to spawn all sorts of fish WITH nothing but a tank, a filter, a heater, and a little enginuity. It is the book that first taught me how to work with those awesome Rice fish I am always selling around here and the author is even the guy who first said the eggs hanging out of the females look like "tiny bunches of glass grapes". Even if you don't win this auction, if you have an interest in breeding fish, you outta look around and find a copy of it. It's that good.
Those Peacock Gudgeon's love to lay their eggs in small caves and I took the time to drill out a nice piece of root wood and you are going to receive that piece of wood too.
They WILL end up breeding in that 1/2 inch hole you can see I drilled in that wood below.
I am ALSO going to send you a LARGE handful of Oak, Maple, and Hickory leaves I collected over in Ohio a couple weeks ago because those Rams I am sending you will lay their eggs on those leaves just like you can see the Pr. of Rams below did in my infamous "catch container spawning".
I bred those Rams in a catch container just to annoy a customer of mine who was trying to jerk me around on the price of them about a year a go.
If I was you here is what I would do with all this stuff.
I would put ALL of it in a tank about the size of a 20 long. Let these fish all start breeding in it and then AFTER they have bred remove the leaf with eggs on it and hatch the eggs in something like a one gallon jar or a small tank like a 5 gallon. Same thing with that driftwood. You can even let the males guard the eggs for the first 48 hours or so if you want but then I would simply reach in the tank and remove the eggs and whatever they are attached to and finish hatching them yourself. As soon as the eggs hatch put the leaf and the wood back in the main tank and let them spawn again, only this time you can let the adults try to raise the fish cuz you will already have lots of fry you are working with.
So............ to sum up, you are going to receive 4 Peacock gudgeon's and you will receive BOTH sexes, a Mated Pr. of Rams, the book about breeding fish by Vorderwinkler and Axelrod, the piece of drilled wood, a LARGE handful of hardwood leaves, AND all kinds of crap that you are going to find useful while you are screwing around with the fish you will receive in this box that I am not going to bother telling you about here.
LOL! I am a total idiot sometimes, ain't I?
Shipping is 100% FREE and I guarantee live arrival of ALL NICE fish.
