I have been running this type of auction for years now and it has always been a hit for people looking for several nice plants at a great deal.  So since I took care of the ones that wanted less than 12 or be able to cherry pick, then it is time to change the 12 pack auctions up a bit.  I LOVE TWEAKING THINGS! So let's find out what this auction is for and what this BONUS crap is all about at the end!   Swords Swords are another group of plants that are very popular in the hobby and there are over 40 species found in nature.  MOST OF WHICH do not grow  submerged or UNDER WATER.  But have no fear, they can be trained!  Ever hear of wet and dry seasons?  They somewhat HAVE to be able to adapt don't they?  Also with the help of science, there are many "created" swords that do even better now in aquariums. Swords are great plants for Discus and Angels, because they are a native plant to them that can tolerate the same tank conditions as well as provide a nice big leaf to lay eggs on.  HOW COOL! For the most part, moderate lighting will do just fine especially since most swords GROW TALL and can get closer than dwarf plants.  But swords do like a little lovin' sometimes.  Swords appreciate a nutrient rich substrate and do AWESOME in BBB by the way.  They also prefer to get the majority of their nutrients through the roots.  In fact they have two sets of them.  The long narrow ones manipulate through the substrate searching for nutrients and the short plump ones store nutrients.  So you can use a tab or stick type fertilizer stuck into the substrate right next to the sword and they will thank you for it.
