Hello folks! This auction is for 6 NICE Heterandria formosa. You WILL get both sexes. These were bred by Ol' Conrad and they are in PERFECT condition. These are truly a dwarf livebearer in fact they are THE smallest livebearer in the world. The fish you will receive will be between 1/2 an inch and an inch. Males only get to be about 1/2 an inch and females will top out at a whopping and 1/4 inch! These also rarely eat their own fry and one thing of particular interest regarding this cool little peaceful fish is the way they breed. You will never actually get a "drop" from your females. When your female is ready to start giving birth she will have 1 or 2 fry each day for about 2 weeks before she "rests" for about 3 weeks and the whole precess starts all over again. These fish are PERFECT for smaller nano tanks. They like plants and their fry are actually born about the size of guppy fry! They will eat anything I feed them that is small and I prefer to feed them decapped brine shrimp along with Golden pearls. I will of course send you some food along with a small handful of NICE floating plants too! Give these awesome little fish a try. We don't offer them very often so don't miss out!
