Description

Well, with the economy in the toilet, and the job market floundering like a goldfish on the driveway, I figured I'd put together a mixed lot full of high earning-potential fish. These little babies are easy to produce, lucrative to sell, and constantly in demand. Sell them to your friends, sell them to your LFS, sell them at your local auction, or even turn them around here and make yourself a bundle. With a minimum of care and tank space, you should be able to make back your money within the next generation. In fact, any one of these species should be able to make you more money than you're bound to spend on this auction. With Wall Street where it is, this is probably the safest investment you can find. Let's get started:

From random

First, we are going to kick this thing off right with 5 count'em, FIVE, young adult Marmorkrebs at 1-2 inches in length. I can barely keep these babies in stock. In six months I have sold DOZENS of 1-inchers for up to 8 bucks a pop, and berried females go for as much as $60 here on Aquabid. Do the math. These are no babies, though, these will be laying eggs within the next month or so, so you can start cashing in even sooner. Also known as Cambarellus sp. Marmor krebse, or the Marble Crayfish, these are a truly unique species of crayfish. They are all female, and are parthenogenic, which means that they reproduce by laying eggs that are clones of themselves. Let any one of these little guys grow up, and feed her well, and she will produce countless offspring all on her own. They make great scavengers, and in my experience are non-destructive and non-aggressive by crayfish standards. I keep them with all kinds of fish and in planted tanks and never have any problems. They are also excellent snail control.

In addition, I'm going to throw in 10 juvenile INNES Gambusia holbrooki. This particular line has been throwing out a significantly higher ratio of spotted female, which is an extremely lucky find. I have sold spotted females for up to $100 each, so if you can produce a few of your own, you should be able to rake in quite a bit of cash. Usually females are a drab grey, and males are a gorgeous blue-white and covered in black spots. These guys are easy to breed and maitain, and are great mosquito control when outdoors. The little guys you will be getting are young, at about a half inch in length, so they may themselves grow up to be spotted females, and are more than likely to produce a few for you in the next generation.

Don't ask me why, but lately I've been making bank on my swordtails. Sure, I work with some of the best stock in the hobby, and often cross in wild blood for additional vigor and intensified colors, but for some reason, I've been getting over 3 and 4 dollars per swordtail at local auctions, and that's not to mention the up to $100 auctions that I've been selling on Aquabid for specialty swords like blues. I will add to this auction 10 juvenile swords of mixed color, many of which have wild blood, and some of which will be reds that throw blues. They may range from green, red, tuxedo, marigold, black berlin, neon, and others. They breed like there's no tomorrow, and at up to 50 fry per drop, and 3 dollars per fish, you're looking at some serious scratch to put together in the next few months.

From random

The winning entrepreneur can also expect to receieve 2 adult pairs of Girardinus metallicus. This rarely-seen little livebearer is most notable by the jet-black bellies on the male, bright blue eyes, and its sharp, upturned nose. These are another easy to keep and easy to breed fish that will produce countless offspring with little more than a 10 gallon tank and a wad of java moss. They show little aggression to other fish or their offspring, and thus make great flock-breeders. Local fish stores love them because they can go in any community tank and hobbyists love them for their rarity and ease of keeping. Another easier producer and easy seller.

From random

And finally, due to the overwhelming prominence of these little guys in my breeding room, I am going to throw in a WHOPPING 10 joung, red marble (also known as calico) Bristlenose Plecos. These little guys are at just about an inch, and in less than a year will be producing clutches of babies just like themselves every two weeks. Usually I get about 75-100 babies a clutch, and within a few months I can sell them off at up to $6 a piece, and that's to the LFS. Fish club auctions usually buy them at around $20 for 2 babies, and adult pairs can go for up to $50 here on Aquabid.

So, there you have it. The soundest investment you can find on this site. I have put together my most profitable breeders, and packaged them all for you here in one place. Within the next few months you will easily make back whatever money you spent on this auction, and it's all gravy after that. You'll probably have so many adults producing babies for you, that you'll have to sell off half of them just to keep down your numbers, and profits shall ensue. Any ONE of these species lots should go for over $40 each, not to mention the shipping, but here you have a chance to throw all 5 lots in together, I'll throw in the shipping, and you can start generating a little cash doing what you love. So, down to the nitty gritty:

5 Marmorkrebs
10 INNES Gambusia
10 Swordtails
2 Pairs of Metallicus
10 Marble Calico Bristlenose Plecos
and priority shipping with no live arrival guarantee will be on ME. Happy Bidding, Happy Selling, and until the economy gets REALLY bad...
