Hello folks! These fish gave me a pleasant surprise tonight when I pulled them out of their tank to photograph them. They have babies! I knew they were close to spawning but I wasn't willing to wait any longer and it's time to empty this tank for some new stuff I have arriving! In fact I actually have more "new stuff" arriving shorty than I don't even have close to enough space for, so tomorrow after I finish packing and shipping my Saturday boxes I am going to post quite a few MORE auctions. I NEVER post auctions on Saturdays so make sure you check back cuz these won't be up as long as they usually are. This auction here is for a breeding Pr. of AWESOME looking Badis assamensis. These Males are OVER 2 inches long! I actually have 2 Pr's of these fish and I am going to run 2 separate auctions for them this week so take your pick on them. Both Pr's are AWESOME and you will NOT find Breeding Pr's of assamensis like these ANYWHERE so don't be afraid to bid on them. Also, these are a little different than most Badis so listen up so you know how to handle these fish when they arrive. These guys are a little scrappier than other Badis and you really will be better off if you think of them as a cave spawning dwarf cichlid instead of a Badis. The fish I have are aggressively eating freeze dried earthworms and when you feed them these (I will send you a large supply of them and they are sort of expensive so you are already getting a good deal right there. LOL!) they will rush right up to the surface, grab a whole worm and swim back down to the bottom and then consume the entire thing, while you sit there amazed at the entire feat. These will NOT eat flake food but they will aggressively eat any frozen foods too. I feed them mostly those worms just cuz they seem to like them so much. They also will crush up snails and eat them too. And like I said, they can be aggressive so while you can keep other fish with them if another fish attempts to mess with them or their fry they are NOT afraid to open up a can of whoop butt if they have to. LOL! I love writing these descriptions. Their fry are born sorta small but they will eat 5-50 Micron Golden pearls and decapped brine shrimp eggs and I WILL send you some of those too. The reason I said these fish gave me a pleasant surprise tonight was because when I caught them to photograph them I checked the cave one of the Males was hanging out in and you can see by the photo I took he has wigglers in his cave (Don't even ask how I got that photo, all I will tell you is it wasn't easy!) and as you can see from my photo's the other female is fat and full of eggs so that is why I am going to call these 2 Mated Pr's. That's close enough for me and I guarantee by the time I actually pack these Pr's up they actually will be 2 Mated Pr's. of fish. I would even send you that cave but I am running out of them and I would have to end up sending 2 of them cuz I am running this auction twice so I ain't doing that. To sum up! You are bidding on 1 Mated Pr. of NICE Badis assamensis. Freeze dried Earth,worms, some GOOD foods to feed the fry you will have soon, plus a nice big handful of HEALTHY floating plants.
