Description

Hello Folks!
This is a NICE auction for a Mated Pr. of F-0 Apistogramma norberti plus all the other crap I normally include in these type of auctions.
You will also receive Tiger endlers (for dither fish), floating plants, surface floating plants, food for the adults, food for your fry (even though there will be plenty of food swimming around in all those plants anyway) and basically all the "stuff" you are going to need to successfully raise these Apistogramma norberti and end up having a bunch of NICE fish to sell later on.
The photo's and movie of the Apistogramma norberti below ARE the actual fish you will be receiving.
This box will be FULL and you WILL get your moneys worth no matter what this thing ends up selling for. I am also going to attempt to teach you something about breeding fish you can hopefully apply to other types of fish in the future.
Shipping is 100% FREE and as always I guarantee live arrival of everything.

Here's what's this auction is really all about.

These fish were originally sent to me by a hobbyist who lost patients with them and told me his Pr. kept eating their eggs and fry and he was sick of dealing with them. He had 3 Pr's of these fish and he told me he paid a pretty penny for them (that means a lot of loot).
He sent them to me and I took the largest Pr. stuck them in a 20 long with a flower pot and about a week later they pawned and promptly ate the eggs.
Instead of snapping and sending them to some other sucker, I decided to change my strategy a little and try a different technique that some of us OLD TIMERS actually know about.
Instead of being ANAL and using RO water, and super good filters, and keeping everything sterile and squeaky clean I tossed about 3 large handfuls of floating plants in to this tank, I whipped some wood in to the tank and I even tossed 3 Pr's of VERY nice Neon Blue Platys in to this tank (know you can't get those in this auction). Then I just sat back and fed them good quality foods for about 3 weeks while basically ignoring them otherwise. And guess what happened? You guessed it. I was feeding them about 3 weeks later and the Male was keeping those Platys way up near the surface of the tank, the female was herding a nice sized group of fry around the bottom through the thick plant growth and everything was going as planned just like it does in the wild with these fish.
Moral of the story- Stop being so ANAL and listen to us old timers once in a while.
You can use this same technique with all sorts of small Pr's of fish that lay eggs and guard them along with their fry.
The trick is to allow these fish to actually go through the same type of motions they also go through in the wild. They DON'T spawn in squeaky clean bare bottom tanks with a flower pot in them when they are in the wild, what makes you think they will know how to successfully raise a family under those conditions in a fish tank?
It's not rocket science folks! Now go place a bid on all this crap so you can have this little piece of the Amazon River going on in your fish room a couple days after you win this auction!

Make sure you watch this movie. It shows the female you are bidding on herding around her fry while they are feeding on decapped brine shrimp eggs and tiny "bugs" that are living in all these plants!
