Description

6 juvenile caucana mollies. I'm selling these as unsexed but will be sure to include both sexes. The males have early gonopodium development so sexing even young fish is pretty easy. These are a small molly. The females are the larger of the sexes and top-out at around an inch or so. I colony breed mine. I keep mine is a bare 10 gallon with lots of floating hornwort. They are in hard Lake Erie tap water at approx 78 degrees. They are not picky eaters. I feed mine Tetramin flake, Ken's earthworm flake and live baby brine. They also graze heavily on algae and plant surfaces. The adults don't seem to take an interest in the fry. Females produce small clutches of fry about every 30 days. Fry number 6-10 fish depending on the size of the female. I picked these up locally from a friend who is an importer. They are a great little livebearer. Males and females have a black spot on the their dorsal fin. Males develop iridescent striations on the body and a yellow to orange caudal fin. They are active and not shy. Shipping is $15 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. This auction will ship Wednesday 7/31 so payment is due at the close of auction on Tuesday 7/30.
