Up for auction is 5 sub adult xenotoca eisini, AKA redtailed splitfins.� The fish you will recieve are around an inch and are close to the age of being sexable.� Pictured are young males and an out of focus female from a�brood of fry born 2 months sooner than the fish you will recieve.� This goodeid is a very fun and active livebearer to keep.� The males will chase eachother when sexually mature and face off over females (they do not hurt eachother for the most part.)� As the males come into maturity they develope a beautiful blue and yellow glimmer.� Females tend to stay a bit more bland.� Females drop anywhere from 10-30 fry every few months.� They will eat their own fry so cover is a must if you intend to breed these!� They appreciate a planted tank with little to no current.
Shipping is a flat $10.00.� I ship with the USPS priority mail in an insulated box with heat packs if needed.� I prefer to ship early in the week.� Monday or Tuesday at the latest.� I will postpone shipping if weather takes a turn for the worse; we're still experiencing snow here in the midwest.��
