Description

6 juvenile, unsexed, xenatoca doadroi. They are about 1/4" - 1/2". A nicely colored goodeid. Males develop a blue and yellow pattern. Females are a mottled brown color. Females are bit larger than the males when adult. Females top-out at around 2". Batches of fry are small 6-12 depending on the age and size of the female. Fry are pretty large and the parents ignore them. Gestation period is about 60 days versus the typical 30 days for many livebearers. For about the first week newly born fry swim around with the remnant of their umbilical chord on their belly. I keep mine at about 68 degrees. Mine eat Tetramin flake, frozen brine shrimp and frozen bloodworms. They are almost always grazing on algae in the aquarium. Shipping is $15 non-refundable on top of the winning bid.
