Auction is for 6 unsexed baby Belonesox, each about an inch long.

Title picture is of female from preceding generation (the "mother" of your fish); babies still have the bold black stripe.

These guys get about 4" on males and 6" on females, and really want to eat only live fish or shrimp, though some hobbyists have some success training them to eat frozen foods. I feed the adults rosy red minnows and other small fish; the babies are currently consuming live adult brine shrimp. If you are not willing to commit to live foods, these may not be the best fish for you.

These are ambush predators that love to lurk in heavily planted tanks waiting for lunch to swim by. The are somewhat flighty and good jumpers; keep 'em covered. They are also cannibalistic, so you may need to separate some if they grow at different rates. Females have been know to eat the males if not kept well fed.

Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Fish usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $17.00 for Priority Mail with heat pack or $45 for Express Mail. Multiple fish or egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional shipping charge.

Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
