Description

Seven, one-half inch juvenile Xiphophorus birchmanni Rio Altapezco, These fry have the Spot Gene in which some adults will show vertical dark bars on the body and other adults will show very pretty large dark spots-bloches instead. See the photo of both varieties. The Sheepshead Swordtail is another sword from the prettiest calade the cortezi group. This is a very pretty wild type sword with electric yellow fins, yellow body and irregular brown bars and/or spots. The dorsal fin is large and almost a sail fin. Birchmanni are use to improve and hybridize with other swords to develop the Hi-Fin or Sail-Fin domestic type swords. These fish originally came from the Xiphophorus Genetics Stock Center in Texas. This is an easily maintained and bred fish that likes cool water. This fish is VERY RARE in the hobby. ......... .... .... Fish will be Shipped on the Monday-Tuesday following �collected payment�.
