Description

The Tiger Teddy (Neoheterandria elegans) is my favorite livebearer. Excellent livebearer for the nano aquarium. Easy to keep and feed. They will accept a variety of flake and frozen foods, and they love live baby brine shrimp and microworms. A large female may reach an inch in length. Males rarely top .75 inches. They are a very active, beautiful and interesting species. Females give birth to small numbers of fry, often only 1-2 at a time. Although breeding is not difficult, patience is required if you plan to build up a colony. They seem to like a heavily planted tank, and if well fed parents tend to ignore their fry. In this auction, you will receive 3 pair (3M,3F) of fish at .5-.75 inches in length plus a few unsexed fry. Like all of our fish, these guys are tank raised here and healthy.
