Description

X. helleri - Yucatan Swords

5 Vigorous Juveniles

These are a big bold swordtail when mature. Most individuals become spotted and some will develop an orange back. Fry are born decent sized and with ample plant cover the adults are not particularly predatory towards their young.

You are bidding on 5 young juveniles at about 5/8 inch or so. The photos below are of the auction fish with an adult male in the background to give you an idea of what to expect. People call these green swords but they are more blue when young and mature to aqua.I always include extra.

These along with most of my other swords, are being born in large tanks with lots of horwort for cover, I have found they grow much faster this way, and also teaches the fry how to survive in an adult tank enviroment, which makes them MUCH more hardy than fish that are kept in a seperate tank enviroment (believe me, I have tried it both ways, because I am old, bored and didn't have anything else better to do at the time).

These fish were born and bred in my fishroom in moderately hard water, raised with care by a very humble fishkeeper. They have been fed a variety of quality foods from Lohachata, Capt Bob (his starter worm cultures rock!) and Uncle Rick. I always include extra. Payment must be received by Friday 600pm November 16th, with shipping on Saturday the 17th.

PayPal to timpeyton1962@yahoo.com, no e-checks please. I accept US Postal money orders if mailed promptly. You may also email me at that address with any questions you may have.

Shipping with USPS Priority Mail is $15 in a nice styro lined box with heatpacks as needed. I will postpone shipment if extreme weather could endanger the fish. Because a good deal isn't a good deal if your fish are dead. And it certainly isn't a deal for the fish themselves.
