Description

Up for auction are 10 unsexed juveniles of Xenotoca sp. "San Marcos". More are available at auction closing price at my discretion. They are between approximately half an inch and an inch long. These are, in my opinion, the most beautiful Goodeids around! Just look at the pictures below! They are relatives of the more common redtail goodeid Xenotoca eiseni, but much more colorful. They have a lot more vivid colors, redder red, much more blue and a golden center part that X. eiseni lacks completely. They are also a tad bit more peaceful, although they still cannot be called "community fish." In large tanks with not too fragile fish they can actually be kept in a community. They are also excellent tankmates for medium sized cichlids. Mine held their own excellently against a breeding pair of Convict cichlids! Not a single shredded fin!

My particular population also has some colorful females that develop some red on their tails and have a blue shine in the back part of their bodies. See the females below (You can also see some juvies in the pictures). There is quite a bit of selective breeding potential there.

Don't let this opportunity slip away...these guys aren't offered very often...in fact I don't remember ever seeing them here in recent memory.

Shipping will be via Priority Mail in insulated styrofoam boxes. The cost is $14.95. I guarantee live delivery, including shipping costs, if you can provide me with pictures of the dead fish in their unopened bags on the same day the fish arrive. Shipping Will be on either Mondays or Tuesdays, but I may ship on Wednesdays and Saturdays at my own discretion (if time allows). I COMBINE SHIPPING IF YOU PURCHASE ANY OF MY OTHER AUCTIONS!!! YOU PAY SHIPPING ONLY ONCE NO MATTER HOW MANY AUCTIONS YOU PURCHASE! I only accept Paypal and credit cards as payment. No exceptions (i.e. no money orders, checks, echecks, etc.). You will get the paypal payment email address at the end of the auction. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU CANNOT PAY IMMEDIATELY!
