You are bidding on two pair of tank-raised one inch (plus) long Limia tridens, a beautiful little livebearer. These fish are the offspring of wild grandparents. The ancestors of these fish were originally collected by a friend and fellow member of the ALA, the late Dominic Isla, on a visit to the Dominican Republic in 1997. They were collected at Las Salinas on the south shore. The photo, taken by my friend Ivan Dibble, really shows more yellow than the blue-green that the fish sports in the finnage. These fish are typically kept in cool (72-78F) hard (180-300 ppm) alkaline (pH 7.4-7.8) water. The fish is omnivorous, and will require some vegetable in their diet. Live food is not required, but good water changes are essential. I keep them in a colony in a 20 gallon long tank and fry are not cannibalized if well fed and provided with shelter. Fish will be shipped in Styrofoam and bagged in Breather Bags with Ammo Lock 2 to reduce ammonia in transit. I cannot guarantee live delivery via Priority ($16). Please use Express($31) if you must. Save on postage by combining your winning bids. These shipping prices are ESTIMATED PRICES for US delivery. I ship to the USA and have had success shipping to Japan via International Global Express, about $50. Sorry, because of Customs rules, I cannot ship to France or Canada, and CANNOT GUARANTEE live delivery when shipping to other countries. I am not a professional breeder, but folks tell me I do a good job at it. I have been exchanging fish via the American Livebearer Association for years, I just have extra right now!
