Photo shows fish at about the same age or 3.5 months of age. They're also known as the "one-sided livebearer" due to their unusual breeding habit of only mating to one side i.e., a "left-finned" female will only mate with a "right-finned male" and vice-versa. How can you tell if your fish are right-finned or south-finned? You can't, at least I can't so that's why you get them in a group and hope the odds are in your favor. They have small broods of about 6-8 fry, and are not overly prolific, although you can amass quite a few in a short time with a group such as this. These are as yet unsexed, but will quickly start to sex out in a month or so. They need to be fully matured to start breeding. They've got to be THE coolest! Well, besides anableps which are also one-sided but also "four-eyed". I'll add an EXTRA juvie as shipping insurance for a total of 8 fish! LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEED ONLY with UPS 2 Day shipping for $45. For a valid claim, which will include a refund, photos must be emailed and received within 3 hours of delivery, cost of shipping and extra fish NOT included. Shipping option includes a new fully molded styrofoam and corrugated box, and 72hr heat pack to insure safe shipping. Multiple auction wins combine to save on shipping.
