Hello folks!
Happy Thursday!
This offering is for 2 separate groups of Swordtails.
The first group are straight Albino Reds and breed true. Most folks would call these RREA's but they are not as deep red as some of the best strains of RREA's I have had so I just call them Albino Reds.
You are bidding on 2 Males and 3 Females.
One of the Females is a VERY NICE Lyretail. All these fish are fully sexed out and I have taken fry from all these Females.
The second Group is about 4 Months younger than the 1st group and consist of all non albino fish ALTHOUGH all of them should contain at least some Albino genes.
What that means is if you breed them together you should see SOME Albino fish in your drops sometimes up to 50% of them.
I end up with fish like these when I breed an Albino into a standard and the fist generation will carry albino genes even though the entire drop is non albino. Then when you breed that first generation together you start seeing some Albinos.
This is supposed to be FUN and INTERESTING folks and it doesn't get any more interesting than breeding Hifins into Lyretails and knowing you are going to score some nice Albinos from the drops too.
This second group consists of 1 Red Male, 1 Red Hifin Male and 3 Females including 2 Lyretails.
Take the time to check out the moving picture below, I have a hell of a hard time photographing Lyretail Swords and you can get a much better idea of what these Lyretail Females are all about by watching a video of them compared to seeing photo's of them.
Also remember, this second group have just matured and are going to easily get 3 times larger than they are right now.
I will also include HIGH QUALITY foods for all these Swordtails plus a brand new roll of green garland.
That garland will help prevent your Male swords from fighting BUT you really outta at least consider trapping your Female swords. My success rate on Albino fry growing up in their parents tanks is a big fat GOOSE EGG so I think trapping these Females is the way to go.
I added a couple photo's of a simple little portable Swordtail trap I have been messing around with lately. It's not the only way I trap them but I like it cuz I can keep it loaded with 3 Females and set it out of the way anywhere I want in the fish room. Don't be afraid to MESS around with "do it yourself" type contraptions folks, it's a HOBBY and messing around with stuff is what makes it FUN.
