Description

No swords are more beautiful than the wild species! I feel they also have genes that have not been explored as far as bringing in even more traits into aquarium strain fish. (Never represent a hybrid fish as a wild species!!!!...these fish must be kept separate from the true species) I have been exploring several species and have some lyretail x X. montezumae that need new homes. Their mother was a red lyretail sword, their father a true montie. This auction is for a group of 3 male lyretail offspring. The fish in the picture is included, along with 2 of his younger brothers from a subsequent drop. Sword development is much better than in straight helleri lyretails! And, the color is interesting too. They are a little on the shy side like the monties and will appreciate a planted tank. I will fish ship individually bagged in an insulated priority mail box for $10.95. Heat packs are available for $2.00.
