Description

Up for auction are 3 pairs of Hi Fin Variatus. These are a variation of the Blue Parrot. They have a red tail and blue body with a yellow dorsal fin when fully mature. These are true Variatus. The reason you do not see these as much in the hobby is they do not show their true and full color until they are fully grown. This makes them impractible for breeders and stores to sell.

The group you are getting will include 3 pairs. One of the pairs will be fully grown and showing their full colors. The male pictured with the blue sheen body and large yellow dorsal is my only fully mature male and he IS included in this auction. He just colored up in the past month and I expect the blue to continue to develop (his father had a really nice blue sheen). The other fish are a little younger and have a little more growing to do before they develop their full coloration. They are probably 1-3 months from doing so in my estimation. All the females will be pre-hit. The females do not develope the blue body but stay a greenish golden color.

These are a very active and bold line of fish. As you can see from the video the males love to show and dance.

Shipping is Free and I guarantee that they will arrive alive (you deserve to get what you pay for). I often send a few extra and will likely do so here. I ship on Mondays, Tuesdays and sometimes Wednesdays. I use Priority Mail with styrofoam, breather bags and heat packs. I you live real close and ground is one day, I will likely ship that way to get them to you faster. I have recently successfully completed shipments via Priority Mail clear across the country and to a location with highs of 28 and lows of 1.

I do not ship internationally (sorry Canada, too cold this time of year). I have shipped to Hawaii, but buyer will have to provide all the necessary paperwork/import permits. Please contact me before bidding from HI.

If payment is received before the Monday following the close of auction, I will do everything i can to ship those fish to you Monday or Tuesday.

These fish are not difficult to care for. Mine live in Maryland tap water (pH 7.2ish) and are fed a variety of live and dry foods. All my fish are born and raised in my tanks.

I prefer Paypal (credit cards ok) but I will accept money orders as well. I will email you my paypal address after the auction.

Thank you for viewing my auction, I will do everything in my power to make sure its a good one for you and me.
