Description

HOWDY from Sunny San Leon, TEXAS, where everything is bigger and better, including the fish.

This auction is for 6 juvenile high quality red-top blue Mickey Mouse platies (that's what he calls them) directly descended from Lotsoffish stock. Here's a link to the auction where I bought the parents. Closed Platy Auction The first photo below is the fish Pete advertized in his auction. The second photo is of the parent fish I actually received. These guys breed like finned jackrabbits. The babies come out of the chute with bright red dorsals. Some have a reddish tint over their bodies like Dad (theirs, not mine). I expect that the colors deepen with age. The third photo is some of the youngsters you might receive. Notice three of them are already trained to pose for the camera. There's no mistaking that they're red-tops even at this stage. Gender is not so easy to determine, but I'll try supply 3 of each sex unless you say otherwise.

In keeping with the LOF tradition, priority mail shipping is free and will include an insulated box, Kordon bags, and Ready Water. If you live in frozen Yankee Land (anyplace North of Dallas) I'll add a 72-hour heat pack and wait until your ice melts to ship. As long as the Post Office says priority mail will reach your zip code from mine (77518) within 2 days, you have an unconditional live-arrival guarantee. If delivery will take longer, we need to make better arrangements for the safety of the fish. In the event something goes wrong, I'll replace your money or fish at my expense. You don't need a lawyer to understand those terms. Texans keep it simple.

Expect a couple extra fish of the same type as in the auction. Much as I enjoy getting surprises in my boxes, my first reaction is always “where am I gonna put that?” Better to let you know in advance what's coming so there's space available.

If you have ever wanted to play with this strain of platies without paying New York prices, now is your chance. I keep fish for fun and gas wells for income. Have fun bidding and burn lots of natural gas in case I lose money on this auction.
