25 aphyosemion striatum Cape Esterias eggs in peat. These are one of my favorites. I know for some killifish keepers striatum are considered an easy mop spawner. In my fish room they are streaky. I will go several weeks with hardly an egg. Then several weeks of heavy spawning where the act of just holding the yarn mop will leave eggs sticking to my hand. They pose no problem maintaining the strain. However I think you just have to be patient with them when egg production drops. I've had equal success incubating the eggs in water as peat. I rear the fry on microworms with no problems and they quickly move to newly hatched brine shrimp. Growth is moderate. Mature fish produce higher hatch percentage. In hard Lake Erie tap water with tank temp hovering between 68-70 degrees I get about equal male to female sex ratio. Adult fish eat high quality flake, frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworm and anything live. Incubation is about 10 days. Shipping is $7.00 nonrefundable on top of the winning bid. I am targeting a Monday(6/11) or Tuesday(6/12) ship date depending on egg production. Payment is due via Paypal only on Sunday 6/10 by 12pm EST. Otherwise I will relist the auction. I cannot guarantee hatch, sex ratio, etc as there are too many variables outside of my control once the eggs leave my fish room. Thanks for looking.
