Description

IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

20+ eggs of this classic version of "blue gularis", Fp. sjoestedti. Like most other gularis, these guys have fertility and/or egg storage issues, so my goal is for you to have at least 10 hatch when the time comes. My current hatch strategy is to flood the eggs at 7 weeks from pick date. Sometimes they hatch immediately, sometimes they take an extra week

Pictured is an adult male of this strain from a previous generation. Females, as usual, have very little coloration or markings. Their common name is a bit misleading: they aren't very "dwarf" (they get almost 5") and not particularly "red" (the camera flash makes them look much more orange-red than they do in the tank).

I start fry out on newly hatched brine shrimp. I also usually add a bit of java moss to the hatching container to theoretically provide a continuous source of infusoria. As they grow, they will accept most frozen "meaty" foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and mysis, and will even accept some flake and small pellets. They of course relish live brine shrimp and blackworms as well.

Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Eggs usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $8 for Priority Mail. Multiple egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional postage.

Payment by money order or paypal.
