Description

Please note: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

50+ eggs of this beautiful killifish were hand picked and immediately placed in peat. If previous batches are any indication, I would expect many dozens of fry to hatch, usually on the first wetting. These eggs were recently picked, and their incubation time is usually 3-4 months.

Pictured is an adult male of this strain, from a previous generation. Females, as usual, have very little coloration or markings.

This is one of the easiest "annual" killifish to keep and breed. I start fry out on newly hatched brine shrimp. I also usually add a bit of java moss to the hatching container to theoretically provide a continuous source of infusoria. As they grow, they will accept most frozen "meaty" foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and mysis, and will even accept some flake and small pellets. They of course relish live brine shrimp and blackworms as well.

Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Eggs usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $3 for First Class or $7 for Priority Mail. Multiple egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional postage.

Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
