Description

IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

25+ hand-picked eggs of this super hardy killifish, shipped in water. My incubation time has been 8-12 days, and hatch rate has been about 75%, but shipping may affect that.

This is a newer strain of one of the hardiest, easiest to breed killifish, that has a lot more of the red/orange coloration. Picture is of a male from the parent generation. Females, as usual, have very little coloration or markings.

Hatching: I usually just leave lineatus eggs in water with a small amount of methylene blue to help keep fungus from spreading. I check them every day or two to watch development, and remove any dead/fungused eggs with an eyedropper. Eggs hatch without any help about 8-12 days from pick date.

Feeding: Lineatus fry are comparatively large, and can easily consume newly hatched brine shrimp immediately. I also usually add a bit of java moss to the hatching container to theoretically provide a continuous source of infusoria. As they grow, they will accept most frozen "meaty" foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and mysis, and will even accept some flake and small pellets. They of course relish live brine shrimp and blackworms as well.

Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. During mild weather, eggs usually ship the day after payment clears. During the winter cold or summer heat. eggs usually ship Saturday through Tuesday to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $6.00 for priority mail in a box. Multiple egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional postage.

Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
