100+ eggs of this beautiful killifish, hand picked and immediately placed in peat. If previous batches are any indication, I would expect several dozen fry to hatch, usually over multiple wettings. These eggs were picked in December 2013, and there are fully developed and partially developed eggs visible. I would wet them immediately upon arrival, check for fry over the next day or two, then dry and re-wet every 3-4 weeks. Pictured is an adult male, a "dad" or "uncle" of these eggs. Females, as usual, have very little coloration or markings.
I start fry out on paramecium for the first few days, then newly hatched brine shrimp. I also usually add a bit of java moss to the hatching container to theoretically provide a continuous source of infusoria. As they grow, they will accept most frozen "meaty" foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and mysis, and will even accept some flake and small pellets. They of course relish live brine shrimp and blackworms as well.
I ship to US only, usually on the Monday after payment clears. Please include $8.00 for Priority Mail in box with heat pack. Shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays.
Payment by money order or paypal.
Please note: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...
