Description

IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

50+ eggs of this beautiful killifish Nothobranchius patrizii Msumalini creek K96-23, packed in peat. Since these are placed in peat immediately after collection, there will be some eggs that don't develop, but you should hatch out anywhere from a dozen to several dozen fry when the time comes (typically 3-4 months from pick date, depending primarily on storage temperature).

Pictured is an adult male, a "dad" or "uncle" of these eggs. Females, as usual, have very little coloration or markings.

Fry are fairly small, but usually big enough to eat newly hatched brine shrimp for a few days. I start them on brine, paramecium, microworms or vinegar eels. I also usually add a bit of java moss to the hatching container to theoretically provide a continuous source of infusoria. As they grow, they will accept most frozen "meaty" foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and mysis, and will even accept some flake and small pellets. They of course relish live brine shrimp and blackworms as well.

Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. During mild weather, eggs usually ship the weekday after payment clears. During the winter cold or summer heat, eggs usually ship the Saturday through Tuesday to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $7.00 for Priority Mail in a box with heat pack. Multiple egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional postage.

Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
