Description

Offering eggs of a full two-week spawn of 1 male and 4 females of rare and amazing West African killifish -�Aphyosemion australe �Port-Gentil BSWG 1997-24�. The fish originates from the vicinity of Port-Gentil (Mandji), Cap Est�rias Department, Estuaire Province, Akanda National Park, Gabon. The original specimens have been collected by T. Blum, P. Sewer, H. Weder and R. Gluggenbuehl in July and August 1997.

You are getting a complete spawning substrate used in the tank while the fish was spawning such as coir, peat moss, bits of java moss, coco filaments, leaf litter etc. Everything has been collected from the breeding tank to make sure not a single egg is missing. What you need to do when receiving the package? Place the whole contents of the package in a separate tank. Fill up the tank approximately 10 cm of water above the spawning substrate by using clean aged, soft and slightly acidic water (pH 5.5 - 6.5, 0 - 8 dGH) leaving the whole setup for further incubation at 21�C - 24�C. I place a sticker on each package with the spawning period dates, so that knowing when and how long the fishes spawned, and how long is the water incubation time (15 - 22 days) you will know roughly when to expect fry hatching. Gentle water aeration in the tank and 30% weekly water changes are beneficial. Before ordering this spawning medium with eggs please carefully read my disclaimer below. This fish and incubation / hatching method is not for beginners, you should perfectly know of what you are doing!

The spawning substrate is packed in a plastic bag and posted in a padded bubble envelope, protected by rockwool or similar stuff. Unfortunately I can't guarantee the hatching, hatch rate, sex ratio, etc. The storage conditions during transportation are out of my control. Please make sure before bidding that the temperature is not too cold at your area. Important: I don't refund money or re-send another pack of eggs if the package is lost in the post, seized by customs of your country, the eggs are dissolved in peat moss for whatever reason, or you couldn't manage to hatch the fry. Please read appropriate literature, study various Internet sources dedicated to killifishes before ordering the eggs. Ordering eggs from me you completely agree with my disclaimer mentioned above.
