Description

EURO auction. All prices in EURO. Price INCLUDES shipment! You are bidding on the very interesting KRYPTOLEBIAS MARMORATUS (Dangriga, Beelize): 35+ eggs, collected on 12th of June 2013. Very unique species, because it is PARTHOGENETIC. This reproduction strategy is very uncommon for vertebrates and only few examples are known. Females (some occasional males occur, but very rare) reproduce by internal self fertilisation. Only one single fish is necessary to start a new population! With 35+ eggs I give you a very good chance to start with this species. They are vey productive and totally easy to keep and breed. I am currently keeping and breeding them in fresh water, but they tolerate also slightly brackish water. They are very adaptable to a wide range of water parameters. Incubation varies between 12 days and 4 weeks, but the eggs develop very fast. Within a few days the embryo will be visible. That is why I have to send them quickly, preferrably next Monday, 17th of June. I will ship the eggs in moist cloth or sponge. RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNERS. Will provide very detailed instructions for hatching and raising the fish. Payment by PayPal, please. Unfortunately I can not ship this non-annual species to countries outside the EU. There is a risk that it travels too long and the eggs develop too far or suffer during the transit. I can guarantee very fast shipment to any country in the EU.
